Your tribe is out there. We’ll help you find it.
- In-Person Only
- Business Development
Network Under 40 exists at the intersection of friendship and business. It’s not just about meeting people, it’s about knowing people.
WHAT'S THE OUTCOME + WHY IT'S DIFFERENT
We understand that we live in a connection economy and the foundation to success in career and personal life hinges on genuine relationships with real people.
We are about mixing business and pleasure, throwing out the conventional wisdom that says you have to change who you are to ‘be professional’. Instead, we encourage you to be real, to have fun, and to cultivate authentic and meaningful relationships around social activities. Fortunately, there are a lot of cool people for you to get to know at our events, ranging from tables for ten to several hundred person occasions.
Don’t believe us? Check out what Inc. Magazine has to say about how we build local communities and turn transactional, tedious networking events into fun, meaningful experiences!
Come as you are. Build rapport. Leave with a foundation for genuine relationships.
THE HEART BEHIND IT
Darrah Brustein was put on Earth to connect people. Network Under 40 started as a favor to some friends from college (Emory) who lamented the challenge of making friends “as an adult”. Since going to a bar and ‘picking up’ friends didn’t sound ideal, they ventured to other events but found them to be stuffy, cliquey, sales-y, and/or meat-market-y. Now years later, Network Under 40 has become Atlanta’s largest networking organization for young professionals and has expanded to Nashville and Baltimore! When not doing this work, Darrah co-owns a credit card processing brokerage with her twin brother, scaling to 38 states. She's also the author of Finance Whiz Kids, a children’s book series that teaches elementary-aged kids the basics of financial literacy. Parlaying her love of writing and networking, she became a regular contributor for Entrepreneur.com (as well as have written for Forbes, Huffington Post, Inc, and others). Outside of work, you’ll find her galavanting the world, doing yoga or acroyoga, and taking black and white photos.
This could be your tribe if you:
- are a professional living in Baltimore and are looking for options ranging from large mixers to lunch and learns
- are under 40 and interested in genuine, non-sleazy connection
- want to be surrounded by motivated, interesting peers in an environment that you can show up, be real and have fun
This is definitely NOT your tribe if:
- you're looking for an event to replace your Tinder or fill your sales pipeline
- you prefer more rigid networking environments
